First, learn how to relax. One good way to do this is to sit quietly, with your legs crossed, or lying on a bed comfortably. Where you situate yourself should be quiet and free of distraction.
Second, simply engage in some deep breathing exercises that are calming and relaxing. Inhale and exhale deeply, lightly pressing your tongue on the roof of your mouth as you do so. Focus on each breath; the goal is to clear your mind of all extraneous thoughts.
Third, at least temporarily, suspend disbelief that you think you can’t do this. Even if you can’t permanently change your mind, give yourself a chance to succeed. It’s important that you have belief in order to be successful at doing this. BELIEVE that you can see people, objects and events that you are not in the physical presence of.
Fourth, an easy way to get started on remote viewing is to simply practice seeing yourself, lying there or sitting there on the bed or floor. Imagine that you are sitting in front of yourself, looking back over your shoulder at yourself. This can be difficult to do at first, but keep going; it does get easier.
After you’ve successfully seen yourself outside of your own body with these remote viewing techniques, you can begin to try more difficult exercises, such as seeing familiar places or objects within your current house or apartment, but that that are remotely located. Beginning with simple exercises and then moving on to more complex ones will help you begin to truly believe in your abilities, which will make it much easier to do more advanced remote viewing exercises as you progress.
